YEREVAN. - Armenia’s accession to the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) saved about 10% of time and expenses on cargo transportation, Karen Baghdasaryan, head of Spayka Ltd. (largest exporter of fresh fruit and vegetables from Armenia) Project Management Division told Armenian News – NEWS.am during the visit to Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan to the company.

“This is quite a serious advantage in our sphere. And the new opportunities for export not only to Russia but also to Belarus and Kazakhstan, as well as to Kyrgyzstan should also be considered with this respect,” Baghdasaryan said.

As the President of Ararat Brandy Factory Ltd. Sargis Varzhapetyan said, accession to the EEU allows not to pay VAT on the border for import, which helps us import glass containers faster and more conveniently, he said.

In the trade between the EEU republics, the VAT can be paid before the 20th day of the following month.
