Abraham Avagyan, 32, wounded in Bashkiria’s city of Salavat is in a critical condition, Arkadi Dalaryan, Chairman of the Bashkirian Regional Department of the Union of Armenians of Russia, told Armenian News –NEWS.am.

After the attack, Abraham Avagyan was taken to the intensive care unit, where he remains up to now. According to Dalaryan, he was to undergo the fifth operation today, but this didn’t happen. “Perhaps they will operate on him Sunday. Albert Akulyan, 28, who was in the most critical condition, is already recovering. He may even be dismissed from hospital next week. The condition of Mesrop Mekonyan, who is also in the intensive care unit, is normal too,” he said.

Besides, Dalaryan said that three attack suspects have been detained so far; five of them are still wanted. “Unfortunately, the previously convicted Azeri hasn’t yet been detained. All the law enforcement authorities of Bashkiria are seriously interested in uncovering the case,” he said.
