YEREVAN. - Azerbaijan is trying to shift the discussion of the Karabakh issue to other  formats, but there is [one] common format, which has received the mandate of the international community; it is the mandate of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs. Armenia’s FM Edward Nalbandian said the aforementioned at a press-conference today.

In his words, Armenia’s stance is absolutely in line with that of the OSCE Minsk Group and other institutions shouldn’t take measures which can interfere with the conflict normalization process and contribute to the escalation of tension in the region.

Nalbandian also said that no conflict has been settled through PACE or similar institution: "We must work with the Co-Chairs to achieve an exclusively peaceful settlement. As to the “impartial” rapporteur, a man, who according to the British press, was included in the Azerbaijani Parliamentary Friendship Group and financially cooperated with the Azerbaijani fund, can’t be impartial.”

The FM declined to comment on the content of the report, saying it’s not worth doing so. “The Azerbaijani leadership comments on the PACE documents differently. They labeled the second to last document as a paper scra, whereas this document is lauded almost to the level of the UN Charter,” he said.
