The Azerbaijani side has promised to soon return to the Armenian side the Armenian citizen who crossed the border with Azerbaijan yesterday.

“The detained Armenian citizen is being treated in accordance with the norms of international law. She will soon be returned to the opposite side once relevant procedures are over,” APA reports.

The Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan informed earlier that Lusine Abovyan (born in 1942) appeared on the Azerbaijani side on Sunday. The woman lives in Koti village of Armenia’s Tavush Province.
