The European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) on Tuesday made a judgment against the Republic of Armenia.
The Court issued its ruling in the case of Sahakyan v Armenia, whereby it recognized a violation of Article 5 (right to liberty) of the European Convention on Human Rights.
Accordingly, the ECtHR ordered the Government of Armenia to pay 3,000 euros to Hayk Sahakyan, as compensation for non-material damage.
