YEREVAN. – The US expects that the presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan will hold a full discussion on the steps and issues necessary for easing tension on the Line of Contact.
US Ambassador to Armenia Richard Mills on Thursday told the abovementioned to reporters, reflecting on the expected talk between the two presidents.
In the ambassador’s words, the US is very satisfied that the presidents have decided to meet before the year’s end.
Mills stressed that this is a very positive step by the two parties, and the US hopes that the presidents would be open to new proposals by the three co-chairs of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Minsk Group, and would show readiness to discuss them.
