YEREVAN. – The negotiations regarding the new Armenia-European Union (EU) document are planned to get underway in December.

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Garen Nazarian, told the above-said to reporters on Thursday. 

He recalled that during their meeting with the EU delegates, the parties had exchanged views on the dates for commencing these discussions.

“The beginning of December is considered as the supposed time,” the deputy FM added. “In any case, both sides are ready to start by the year’s end.”

Nazarian also recalled that the exchange of views on the future negotiations is in progress since the year past.

“The [respective] dialogue is successful, and it inspires hope that the talks will be substantial and will express the depth of Armenia-EU relations,” the deputy FM added.

And to the query on whether changes would be made in the political agenda of these discussions, Garen Nazarian responded: “We are trying to maintain, as much as possible, what we have achieved during previous talks.”
