YEREVAN. – Interdependence of the exchange rate of the US dollar and the construction activity in Armenia is over 0.9, from 2000 to 2014.

Over the past fifteen years, the number of houses in Armenia has increased by 92 thousand units, whereas that of the apartments went up by 22 thousand units.

The actual construction work reduced by 50 percent last year, in contrast to 2008.

Nonetheless, a symbolic 0.1-percent growth was recorded between January and September of the current year. 

Moreover, however, the share of the “population” in the construction has dropped to up to 25.3 percent, whereas the respective amount was to around US$137 million.
