YEREVAN. - Three crewmembers of the plane crashed in South Sudan on November 4 - commander Gevorg Tovmasyan, Engineer Samvel Mkrtchyan and Technicians Suren Petrosyan – were laid to rest today in Armenia.

The bodied of the 5 killed Armenian crewmembers were transported to Armenia via Juba-Khartoum-Yerevan charter flight late Thursday.  

The crew also included a Russian citizen whose body was transported from Yerevan to Moscow with the same flight.

Dozens of people, including the aircraft’s crewmembers and passengers as well as people on the ground, were killed in a plane crash in South Sudan on November 4.

The cargo plane’s crewmembers included Armenians. They were First Pilot and aircraft commander Gevorg Tovmasyan, Second Pilot Samvel Hambardzumyan, Engineer Samvel Mkrtchyan, and Technicians Armen Antonyan, and Suren Petrosyan.
