YEREVAN. – In 2016, the Ministry of Defense (MOD) of Armenia will continue enhancing its military and industrial complex.

Chairman of the National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee on Defense, National Security and Internal Affairs, Koryun Nahapetyan, stated the abovementioned at Tuesday’s NA debates on the 2016 State Budget draft.

In his words, a pilot structural work will be carried out toward the introduction and future modernization of arms.

Nahapetyan added that Armenia’s purchase of arms—including precision and long-range weapons—also will carry on in the coming year.
