YEREVAN. – Ever since 1992, the US direct investments in Armenia’s economy have totaled $215.5 million.
The Minister of Economy of Armenia, Karen Chshmarityan, on Tuesday announced the aforesaid at Parliament.
In his words, the American investors have long appreciated Armenia’s capacity in services, tourism and the high-tech industry, and there is also unused potential in several other domains.
“During the months of January to June 2015, the US investments in the abovementioned domains have amounted to $1.8 million,” Chshmarityan added.
To note, however, Russia is still the largest foreign investor in Armenia’s economy.
