YEREVAN. - Armenian State Budget for 2016 provides 420 million AMD (approx. $870,000) for urgent heart operations, Armenia’s Minister of Health Armen Muradyan said today in the parliament at the debate on the republic’s draft state budget for 2016.

Nearly 274 million will be allocated for the treatment of drug-addicts and mental patients, 122 million being provided for the hospitalization of children.

The average cost of 1 hospital day per person was estimated 14,670 AMD.

The program of urgent heart operations launched in 2015 has already gained respect and trust in the society, the Minister said.
