YEREVAN. – There are many tools available for excluding the double taxation between Armenia and U.S.; we will consider this issue more deeply tomorrow. Bridget Brink, the US Deputy Assistant Secretary in the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs, said the aforementioned at a press-conference in Yerevan today, responding to the question of Armenian News – NEWS.am correspondent on the development prospects of Armenian-American ties, specifically the possibility of signing an agreement excluding double taxation.

According to her, the U.S.-Armenia Joint Economic Task Force (USATF) has shifted from talks on economic support to the growth of trade and investments.  In her words, it’s very important to know that the Task Force follows the discussion plans of the Trade and Investment Framework Agreement (TIFA).  Besides, she said that their colleagues from the Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR), who held discussions with the government, also contribute to achieving that goal. Ms Brink expressed conviction that there are many steps the Armenian and American sides can do together and which US can implement to provide support to Armenia. She also expressed hope that this way they will continue to move forward using all the possible tools fro strengthening the economic ties and growth of investments.
