YEREVAN. – No decision has yet been made regarding the signing of an agreement on eliminating double taxation between Armenia and the US.
US Ambassador Richard Mills told the aforementioned to reporters, and within the framework of Thursday’s meeting of the Armenian-American Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation.
The ambassador noted that the discussants in this session will confer on the avenues for promoting Armenia’s growth and economic development from a strategic perspective.
In Mills’ words, they will also discuss Armenia’s strategy in energy security and water resources management as well as the assistance rendered to the Armenian government and residents in combating corruption.
The US ambassador added that the event agenda includes a discussion on whether the signing of the above-said agreement is indispensable and expedient at this moment.
