The house of Marina Zhuravlyova, the wife of Victor Sivets, the ex-head of Ukraine’s State Forest Resource Agency, has turned into the residence of the Armenian Ambassador, Glavkom writes, citing Corrupt.UA.

According to the register of property rights, Zhuravlyova owns the areas and 29, 31 and 33 houses in Michurin street of Kiev’s Pechersk district.

The biggest of the houses is No 31, which has a surface of 1086 sq m. The plaque “Residence of the Ambassador of Armenia to Ukraine” has been installed on the house gates today. At the same time, the register of property rights contains no information on leasing that house.

According to the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, the premises of the mission and its territory are immune. Therefore, this is a unique immunity for Sivets, who thereby protects himself from searches by law enforcement authorities. This is important now, considering the fact that his wife occasionally arrives in Ukraine for business affairs and stops exactly in that house.

Andranik Manukyan has been the Armenian Ambassador to Ukraine since 2010. The Embassy ignored the inquiry about the location of his residence and the duration of his residency there.   

Sivets belonged to the circle of the close officials of ex-President Yanukovich.  According to the information circulated in media, after Yanukovich’s escape, Sivets moved to Moscow.
