The Investigative Committee of Russia has questioned well-known Russian businessman German Sterligov, whom the Azerbaijani authorities accuse of visiting Nagorno-Karabakh, Interfax news agency reported.

“Recently, I was summoned to the Investigative Committee, where two officers took statements from me,” Sterligov said. “The questions were mainly about the charges which the Azerbaijani side had brought [against me], and the [Azerbaijani] request for my extradition.”

In his words, however, the investigators told him that Russia does not extradite its citizens, and therefore there can be no such thing.

Baku accuses German Sterligov of “entering the occupied territories, with members of his family, without proper documents on crossing the Azerbaijani border.”
