The European Union (EU) is also concerned by the escalation of tension in Nagorno-Karabakh.

High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission, Federica Mogherini, stated the above-said. 

Mogherini noted this speaking at the 22nd OSCE (Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe) Ministerial Council, in the Serbian capital city of Belgrade.

She also stressed that the EU will remain committed to its active participation in the process of crisis resolution within the OSCE expanse and in the neighboring regions.

Federica Mogherini added that resolving conflicts and confronting challenges require cooperation.
