Armeian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian, who is participating in the 22nd OSCE (Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe) Ministerial Council in the Serbian capital city of Belgrade, on Thursday had a meeting with French Minister of State for European Affairs, Harlem Désir.

They discussed the privileged relations between Armenia and France as well as numerous issues that are on the bilateral agenda.

Separately, Désir expressed gratitude to Nalbandian for expressing solidarity with France after the terror attacks in Paris, and stressed that France greatly appreciates the support of friendship countries during this difficult time.

The sides also highlighted that the civilized world must unite its efforts in the fight against terrorism and to eradicate this evil.

In addition, the Armenian FM and the French Minister of State for European Affairs touched upon the new legal basis for negotiations between Armenia and the EU. They expressed the hope that the current achievements will facilitate the process of reaching a new agreement.
