YEREVAN. -  First Deputy Defense Minister of Armenia Davit Tonoyan today received Natasha Franceschi, Foreign Service Officer of the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs of the United States Department of State, President of the Office of Caucasus Affairs and Regional Conflicts, and Clark Price, Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Armenia.

During the meeting, issues on the Armenian-American cooperation in the sphere of defense were discussed. Tonoyan briefed the U.S. officials on the current process of cooperation and prospects of development.

Natasha Franceschi thanked the Armenian side for the continuous support to the actions aimed at peace and stability in Kosovo, Afghanistan and Lebanon, noting that Armenia is an important partner and the U.S. side will continue developing its cooperation with the country.

Issues on regional security were also discussed at the meeting.
