YEREVAN. – The Armenian market needs to be reorganized so as to add a benchmark in the Russian market, sociologist Aharon Adibekyan said at a press conference on Saturday.
In his words, however, this will not happen right away.
“The Russian market’s closure for Turkey will lead to the fact that the Russian market will have an absence primarily in food products—vegetables and fruits—and goods, in terms of which Armenia is competitive,” Adibekyan stressed.
Director of the “Consumers Association of Armenia” NGO, Armen Poghosyan, in turn, noted that Armenia’s expectations from accession into the Eurasian Economic Union have not yet been met.
“So far, there are no results,” Poghosyan added. “The problem is the normative base.”
