YEREVAN. - It’s unclear who will eventually be responsible for the shortsighted agreement of Armenia on purchasing gas from Russia. Armenia’s opposition MP and ex-PM Hrant Bagratyan said the aforementioned in the parliament today.

According to him, considering the fall in the international oil and gas prices over the last year, only $420 million, and not 1 billion, would have been enough for power supply in Armenia now. The additional 600 million would have been enough for reducing the poverty level by 18 percent.

“Why didn’t we see that the gas price in the contract change? Who will be responsible for that?” Bagratyan said.
