STEPANAKERT. – Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR, or Artsakh) Karen Mirzoyan, who is on a working visit to the US, on Tuesday had meetings with representatives of the Armenian Assembly of America and the Armenian National Committee of America.

The NKR Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed Armenian News-NEWS.am that further expansion and development of cooperation between the NKR and the US, the latter’s assistance provided to Artsakh as well as the increasing number of Azerbaijani provocations and violations on the Line of Contact were discussed during the meetings.

The NKR FM expressed satisfaction with the high level of cooperation with Armenian organizations in the US, and stressed the importance of activities aimed at protecting the interests of Artsakh in the US.

Subsequently, Mirzoyan attended a reception organized for the Pro-Artsakh Advocacy campaign participants, who had arrived in Washington D.C. for talks in the US Congress and discussions with congress members on matters related to Artsakh.

At the event, Karen Mirzoyan also delivered welcoming remarks and responded to numerous questions posed by those in attendance.

On the same day, the NKR FM met with Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Co-Chair James Warlick of the US.

A range of issues related to the current state of affairs in the Karabakh negotiation process were discussed at the meeting. In particular, the interlocutors emphasized the necessity of undertaking steps to exclude ceasefire violations and reduce tension along the Line of Contact.
