This year Azerbaijan went beyond all limits on its way to a large-scale war. Military expert Arkadi Grigoryan told the aforementioned to Armenian News – NEWS.am commenting on the escalation of situation in the zone of Karabakh conflict and Azerbaijan’s gradual use of more serious weapons.   

In addition to using TR – 107, the Azerbaijani side recently shelled at the Karabakh positions from tanks.  

“Such a conduct is 5 minutes to war,” Grigoryan said, adding that the Azerbaijani Armed Forces actually exhausted all the possible types of arms in the front line.  

“That’s the limit. If measures are not taken from political viewpoint, say progress is not recorded at a high-level meeting, then the only thing that can stop the infiltrations is the preventive strike of the Armenian side,” the expert said.

“The history teaches us that the conflicts develop exactly this way. They grow and at some point turn into a large-scale war,” he said.

According to Grigoryan, two parallel realities have actually formed: Azerbaijan is provoking escalation of tension, at the same time hoping not to come to war.  

“The main danger of the situation is that such equilibristic tricks by Azerbaijan can cause the situation to go out of control,” the expert concluded.
