The President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev urged to stop the escalation of relations between Russia and Turkey at the international conference “Policy of neutrality: International Cooperation for Peace, Security and Development.”
Almazbek Atambayev takes part in the aforementioned conference held in Ashgabat in the framework of his official visit to Ashgabat. On the sidelines of his visit, Mr Atambayev met with his Turkmenistani counterpart Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow, and held talks with the Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili. After Turkmenistan, Atambayev will visit Kuwait and Qatar.
The President noted that he would like to support the call of Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko to Russia and Turkey. He thus urged “to stop the escalation of tension in bilateral relations and bring back partnership, neighborly and friendly relations, which these close brotherly countries recently had,” the press-service of Kyrgyzstan President reports.
