YEREVAN. – The upcoming meeting of the presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan will give absolutely nothing.
Former Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia, Ambassador Arman Navasardyan, stated the aforesaid at a press conference on Monday.
He added, however, that perhaps solely the heavy military equipment may be withdrawn from the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone.
Reflecting on strained Russian-Turkish relations, the ex-deputy FM noted that there will be no war between the two countries.
“But relations between the two countries will definitely reflect on regional events,” Ambassador Navasardyan stated.
And commenting on Armenian-Azerbaijani relations and the strained Russian-Turkish relations’ possible impact on the Karabakh conflict, he stressed that no superpower supports Turkey’s militarization in the region.
“Hence, Turkey will not be able to protect Azerbaijan,” Arman Navasardyan concluded. “And I think that there will not be large-scale Armenian-Azerbaijani military actions.”
