YEREVAN. - Greece is interested in developing ties with Armenia. Minister of National Defense of Greece, Panagiotis Kammenos, said the aforementioned at a meeting with Armenia’s FM Edward Nalbandian.
Welcoming the guest, Nalbandian noted that numerous historical and cultural ties link both countries, and that Armenia attaches importance to deepening the traditional friendly ties with Greece.
For his part, Mr Panagiotis Kammenos stressed that his country highly appreciates the interstate relations based on mutual trust.
Nalbandian briefed the Minister of National Defense of Greece on the efforts of Armenia and the OSCE Minsk Group aimed at the settlement of the Karabakh conflict and the situation formed as a result of the continuous provocations from the side of Azerbaijan.
The sides also exchanged opinions on a number of regional issues, including the struggle of the international community against the terrorism.
