YEREVAN. – President of the National Assembly (NA) of Armenia, Galust Sahakyan, on Thursday received the visiting Minister of National Defence of Greece, Panagiotis “Panos” Kammenos.

Sahakyan recalled that some members of the Greek delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) have carried out anti-Armenian activities regarding the Nagorno-Karabakh (NK) conflict.

“These MPs, by supporting the anti-Armenian resolutions proposed by the Azerbaijani side, contribute to Azerbaijan’s continuous efforts to transfer the NK conflict settlement to other international platforms, and this undermines the peace process,” the NA speaker said.

Galust Sahakyan stressed that the Armenian authorities seek to resolve this conflict pacifically, and under the auspices of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Minsk Group Co-Chairs, whereas Azerbaijan continues its aggressive military actions and provocations along its Line of Contact with Nagorno-Karabakh.

Kammenos, for his part, assured that he will convey the concerns of the Armenian party to the Greek authorities.

He added that Turkey invests huge petrodollars in forming a public opinion.
