An Azerbaijani official, who got up on the wrong side of the bed, decided to declare Armenia “enemy of Islam.”

Referring to the talks of the Armenian Government with Iran concerning the Blue Mosque, Chairman of the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations Mubariz Gurbanli, asserted rights on all the mosques in the territory of Armenia. According to the Azerbaijani official, “ancient mosques in Armenia are Azerbaijani mosques.”

“Armenia is overall the enemy of Turks and Muslims. Talks of Armenia with Iran on the fate of the Blue Mosque are conducted for show,” he said, actually “misappropriating” the Iranian cultural monuments.  

Under the decision of the Armenian Government, the Blue Mosque in Yerevan will be assigned to the Iranian side with the right to use it for 99 years.
