YEREVAN. – The Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia (RA), Seyran Ohanyan, traveled to the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) on early Saturday morning, on an unannounced visit. 

Artsrun Hovhannisyan, the press secretary of the Minister of Defense, wrote about the above-said on his Facebook account.

“Within the framework of permanent cooperation and coordination of actions of the RA MOD [i.e. Ministry of Defense] and the NKR DA [i.e. Defense Army], Minister Seyran Ohanyan will have meetings with the NKR leadership and DA command,” Hovhannisyan also wrote. “Matters concerning the situation at the border will be discussed.”

The situation on the Armenia-Azerbaijan border and the Karabakh-Azerbaijan Line of Contact has aggravated to a great extent in recent days.
