STEPANAKERT. – The armed clashes along the Line of Contact between the Karabakh-Azerbaijani opposing forces continued from Friday to early Saturday morning.

During this time Azerbaijan fired over 3,500 shots at the Armenian military positions, and by way of rifle weaponry, mortars, grenade launchers, tanks, anti-aircraft autocannons, and reactive rocket propelled howitzers, informed the press service of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) Defense Army.

ut vanguard units of the Defense Army took retaliatory actions to quell this aggressive “activeness” by the adversary, and continued confidently carrying out their military task.

As reported earlier, however, NKR Defense Army serviceman Fidar Aloyan (born in 1996) was killed during the defensive battle, in the early morning hours on Saturday.
