MOSCOW. - Following the CSTO Security Council session held in Moscow today, President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan attended the session of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in a narrow and then extended formats.

During the talks, heads of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) member-states – President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev,  President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev and President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin – discussed the process of the implementation of a number of decisions adopted at the previous session of the Supreme Council held on 16 October 2015, the EEU budget for 2016, issue on representation in the EEU authorities, personal composition and allocation of duties between the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Board, etc.  

In the framework of the agenda, the heads of states of the Union approved the rate of the duty paid to the economic entities in case of filing a claim with the Court of the EEU. They also discussed the cooperation of the EEU member-states in issues on linking the EEU and the Silk Road economic belt.

The issue on the termination by the Russia of the Agreement on Free Trade with Ukraine was also touched on.
