Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Minsk Group former Co-Chair of the US, former US Ambassador to Azerbaijan, and former US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, Matthew Bryza, is disappointed by the recent meeting between the presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan.

Bryza told Trend news agency of Azerbaijan the last meeting between the two countries yielded no substantial result, tension remains high between the two sides, and no new proposals toward resolving the problem were made during this talk.  

He noted, however, that the only positive point in this meeting was that the leaders of the two countries met, despite everything.

But, as per Matthew Bryza, to achieve significant results, the presidents need the assistance of the Minsk Group co-chairing countries (US, Russia, and France).

On December 19, Presidents Serzh Sargsyan of Armenia and Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan met in Bern, the capital city of Switzerland, for talks.
