YEREVAN. – 2015 was a very dynamic year in terms of the development of Armenian-American relations.

The aforesaid was noted at Thursday’s talk, in Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan, between Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian, and Charles Kupchan, Senior Director for European Affairs on the US National Security Council and Chief Assistant to the US President.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia informed Armenian News-NEWS.am that Nalbandian said Armenia attaches great importance to the development of its relations with the US. Also, he highly praised the current Armenian-American partnership and the joint actions being taken to further enhance this partnership.

Kupchan, for his part, noted that their common goal is to have a free, prosperous and safe Armenia, which peacefully coexists with its neighbors.

The interlocutors reflected on the numerous matters that are on the Armenian-American agenda, and exchanged views on regional and international issues as well as Armenia’s participation in peacekeeping operations.

Edward Nalbandian and Charles Kupchan also discussed the ongoing Nagorno-Karabakh peace talks.
