The President of Chad, Idriss Déby, has become the new Chairperson of the African Union (AU), the largest pan-African organization.
Déby will replace Robert Mugabe, the President of Zimbabwe, as the AU head.
Mugabe himself announced about the aforementioned.
The President of Chad will be in office as AU Chairperson for one year, according to TASS news agency of Russia.
