YEREVAN. - Deputy Chairman of the Armenian National Congress (ANC) party Levon Zurabyan, who is also the head of the parliamentary faction, today met with the EU Delegation Head Piotr Świtalski.

Zurabyan presented the referendum held in December, noting that it was completely rigged, that is it followed the same fate as the general elections and referendums held during the recent years. 

The discussion included enshrining such provisions in the new Electoral Code which will allow to solve the issues of legitimacy of elections, trust and transparency. Zurbayan noted that this requires the unification of Armenia’s political forces, social and civil initiatives, as well as the efforts of international organizations. Agreement was reached to continue the discussions on free and fair parliamentary elections.  

The meeting was also attended by the ANC Foreign Relations Committee President Vladimir Karapetyan and Head of Political, Economic, Press and Information  Section Dirk Lorenz.
