Armenian Minister of Agriculture Sergo Karapetyan on Tuesday traveled to New Delhi on a three-day official visit, and at the invitation of his Indian colleague, Radha Mohan Singh.
A cooperation agreement between the agriculture ministries of the two countries is expected to be signed during the trip.
The main objective of this visit is to discuss the opportunities for exporting Armenian brandy and wine to the Indian market, and acquiring agricultural equipment from India.
Also, the Armenian agriculture minister will meet with the heads of several respective Indian organizations and companies, and pay a visit to the Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI) commonly known as Pusa Institute, which is India’s premier national institute for agricultural research, education, and extension.
