Armenian FM Edward Nalbandian, who is on a working visit to Switzerland, today had a meeting with the head of Switzerland’s Federal Department Foreign Affairs Didier Burkhalter, Armenia’s MFA press-service reports.
At the meeting the parties signed an agreement, under which Switzerland will facilitate the visa regime for Armenian citizens.
Nalbandian expressed satisfaction with the dynamical development of Armenian-Swiss ties and high-level dialogue.
For his part, Didier Burkhalter noted that Switzerland attaches importance to the deepening of relations with Armenia.
The interlocutors discussed a wide scope of issues on bilateral cooperation. The issue on the turnover of goods, cooperation in the sphere of culture and international organizations, as well as other international issues were touched on. The sides also expressed hope for the establishment of peace in Syria.
Apart from this, Nalbandian briefed his Swiss counterpart on the negotiation process of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict implemented in the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group.
