Clashes between protestors and police continued today by the headquarters of Turkey’s opposition Zaman newspaper in Istanbul. The latter was earlier seized by the police during an assault. The police are using plastic bullets and tear gas against the protestors, Hurriyet reports.

According to the newspaper, there are wounded among the protestors.

The police do not permit the Zaman employees to enter the headquarters, which the law enforcement officers took control of last night.  

The capital city Ankara headquarters of Zaman is also expected to undergo such an attack, daily’s reporter Emre Soncan said, reported RIA Novosti news agency of Russia.

He also said that the authorities have blocked the access to the newspaper’s website and are deleting its content.
