The formation of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) observation mission is ready in Kazakhstan, mission headquarters member Evgeny Kozyak stated, according to KAZINFORM news agency of Kazakhstan.

According to him, 301 observers representing Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, CIS Parliamentary Assembly, Parliamentary Assembly of the Belarus-Russia Union State, Parliamentary Assembly of the CSTO, and the Executive Committee of the CIS are accredited for monitoring the parliamentary elections in Kazakhstan.

“In terms of the number of observers, it is the largest mission of international observers,” Kozyak added. “The majority of them will arrive tomorrow [i.e. Friday], or the day after tomorrow [i.e. Saturday].”

Kazakhstan will hold snap parliamentary elections on Sunday.
