The Karabakh conflict settlement must be achieved first and foremost by the both parties [i.e. the Armenian and Azerbaijani] involved.

The European Union (EU) Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia, Ambassador Herbert Salber, who is visiting the Azerbaijan capital city of Baku, told the above-said to Trend news agency of the country.

“International community can make proposals for settlement of the conflict,” he said. “But the choice should be made by the actors involved.”

“The negotiations on the conflict settlement have been lasting for more than 20 years,” Salber added. “All the potential proposals have been on the table. This is the matter of making choice.”
