YEREVAN. – At the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) spring session from April 18 to 22, the Republic of Armenia National Assembly (RA NA) delegates will also raise the matter of making Nagorno-Karabakh (NK/Artsakh) a negotiating side, and which has become imperative after the recent four-day Karabakh-Azerbaijan war, according to Hraparak daily newspaper.

“Yesterday [i.e. Thursday], Arzik Mkhitaryan, chairperson of the foreign relations committee of Artsakh parliament, informed us that this matter was also discussed during the RA NA MPs’ visit to [NK capital city] Stepanakert.

‘“We have discussed this issue with our RA colleagues, so that the need to make NK a party in the [Karabakh peace] talks is voiced at the parliamentary assembly of Europe. We will see soon how it will turn out, will it be or not.”’ 

“A delegation comprising representatives from all RA NA factions visited Artsakh three days ago,” Hraparak wrote.
