YEREVAN. – Editor of the Istanbul-based Armenian newspaper said that resignation of Turkish PM Ahmet Davutoglu will not affect the life of the Armenian community living there either positively or negatively.

There is no crisis in Turkey, Ara Kocunyan who is Chief Editor of Zhamanak Armenian daily of Istanbul stated at a press conference on May 6.

"Certain people will only be replaced in the country. There is a political line on the basis of which these steps are carried out,” he emphasized.

Turkish PM Ahmet Davutoglu announced on May 5 that he will not participate in the new elections to the position of the head of the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP).  Davutoglu noted that he will continue performing his duties as Konya deputy after leaving the prime minister's post.
