MOSCOW. - Russian President Vladimir Purtin discussed with the permanent members of the Security Council of Russia the upcoming Russia- ASEAN summit, process of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement, as well as pressing issues on the inter-Russian agenda, Spokesperson for the Russian President Dmitry Peskov informed.

“The preparation to the upcoming Russia-ASEAN summit to be held this week was discussed during the consultation,” he said.

“The consultation participants exchanged opinions on the topic of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement in the context of the meeting of Armenian and Azerbaijani Presidents, which took place in Vienna yesterday,” Peskov noted, RIA Novosti reports.

Chief of Russian Presidential Administration Sergei Ivanov, State Duma Speaker Sergey Naryshkin, Secretary of Security Council Nikolai Patrushev and his deputy Rashid Nurgaliyev, Minister of Internal Affairs Vladimir Kolokoltsev, Defense Minister Sergey Shoygu, Director of Federal Security Service (FSB) Alexander Bortnikov and Director of the Foreign Intelligence Service Mikhail Fradkov also took part in the consultation.
