The incidents involving Armenians and Azeris, which took place in Ukraine's city of Lviv Monday, are in the center of the Armenian Embassy's attention, Armenian Ambassador to Ukraine Andranik Manukyan told Armenian News – NEWS.am.

In his words, the consul is already in Lviv. According to the Ambassador, in connection with the incident between the Armenian and Azerbaijani sportsmen, corresponding protest notes have been filed with the Ukrainian MFA and relevant structures requiring to hold those guilty liable.

As to the Monday incident, the Embassy keeps in touch with the law enforcement authorities, which have promised to beef up security measures.

The representatives of Armenian community of Lviv told Armenian News – NEWS.am that the details of the incident are being ascertained.

On May 12-15, European Kungfu Championship took place in Lviv. During the competition, the Azerbaijani representatives provoked mass clashes with the Armenian representatives. 

In fact, the attacked sportsman from Karabakh, David Petrosyan, is the brother of Marat Petrosyan, who annihilated five Azerbaijani tanks and one infantry fighting vehicle (IFV) during the days of April aggression.  

According to the media outlets, another incident between the Armenians and Azeris took place on May 16.
