An impudent escape took place from a halfway house in the US state of Alaska.

20-year-old Joshua Yaska who served sentence in the halfway house in the city of Fairbanks escaped from the institution on a bike, abc15 reported. 

However three hours later the prisoner has returned to the halfway house in a jeep and tried to aid in the escape of other inmates, the news agency reported.

It is unclear where exactly the young man took the car in such a short time.

Yaska tried to ram a wall of correctional facility and then left again.

According to the edition, such an incident occurred due to the fact that the staff of the halfway house and police officers, according to the rules of detention of prisoners, have no right to stop fugitives.

Joshua Yaska was imprisoned after he tried to break into someone's house.
