Russian FM Sergey Lavrov and Secretary of U.S. Department of State John Kerry discussed the situation round Syria Wednesday. The phone conversation took place upon the initiative of the American side.
The need for decisive joint actions against Jabhat al-Nusra and other terrorist groups in Syria were discussed, the official website of the Russian MFA reports.
Issues on Palestinian-Israeli conflict settlement were also touched on.
