If the Bundestag—the lower house of the German parliament—recognizes the crimes committed against the Armenians in 1915 as genocide, Turkey could temporary recall its ambassador, Hüseyin Avni Karslıoğlu, from Berlin, according Der Tagesspiegel daily newspaper of Germany.

“Turkey has reacted this way to the resolutions in other European parliaments, regarding the Armenians,” the daily added.

In particular, the Turkish ambassadors to Austria and Luxembourg were recalled in 2015, reported RIA Novosti news agency of Russia.
