There did not take place any shameful incident in the past of Turkey which can make Turkey to bow its head, stated  the Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım.

The Turkish Milliyet reports that the Turkish Prime Minister Binali Ylderim confirms that Turkey has summoned the Turkish ambassador in Germany to Ankara.

"Germany made a wrong decision. The Turkish nation is proud of its past. No shameful incident happened in the history of Turkey to make Turkey bow its head. The Turkish government will take more certain steps when it gets familiarized with the adopted text," said the Turkish Prime Minister.

As earlier reported, on June 2, the German parliament passed a resolution on recognition of the Armenian Genocide , which states that the Bundestag bows to the Armenians and other Christian minorities in the Ottoman Empire who were forcefully displaced and massacred 101 years ago. The resolution also states that the Bundestag regrets that the German government did nothing to stop the crime against humanity and accepts its historical responsibility.
