YEREVAN. – Turkey can pretend for a short time of being unhappy, whereas the current situation proceeds from the interests of Germany, said Giro Manoyan, head of Hay Dat office and Political Affairs of Dashnaktsutyun, at a press conference on Friday.
According to him, as is the case of adoption of all other resolutions on the Armenian Genocide, relations with those countries, in any case, remain as they were before, no matter how much Turkey gets offended.
“I believe that if the issue had been brought up for discussion in the executive body of Germany, it would have become an article of commerce. However, I think that the German society’s awareness of guilt is so fixed, that the adoption of the resolution was impossible to postpone,” said Giro Manoyan.
As reported earlier, on June 2 the Bundestag adopted a resolution that recognizes the Armenian Genocide.
