Turkey would not have kept silence, if not for its allies, including the United States, wrote the Italian journalist Simone Dzopelaro in Il Manifesto newspaper. The responsibility of Turkey can be compared with that of the Nazis’ , he added.

At the same time, the Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov called the adoption of the resolution, not without a satisfaction, on the genocide, an inner decision of Berlin. It is another slap across Turkey from Putin , who, taking advantage of the situation, reaffirms his role as Armenia 's father and patron .

It is only Turkey who wants to forget its past in that ominous dance of the international policy. There would not have been hundred years of silence , if Ankara would not have found allies , including the United States.  The promise of Obama's campaign to use the word "genocide" remained unfulfilled. No US president has had a courage to say that word.

The same can be said about the Israeli government. Despite the efforts of many Jews directed at the recognition of the Armenian genocide , Israel have not officially recognized it . The reason is a tight political and military relationship earlier with Turkey , and now with Azerbaijan ( whom the Israel supplies weapons ) . Armenia’s symbolic victory can complicate the situation. Yerevan has remained alone, surrounded with more powerful adversaries.
